ARISS - Amateur Radio on the International Space Station

The Amateur Radio on the International Space Station (ARISS) event allows students and the public to connect directly with astronauts aboard the ISS via amateur radio, engaging in live Q&A sessions about space science, life in space, and current missions. This initiative aims to inspire interest in STEM fields through real-time interaction with space professionals.

PACS e-Lab will become the first organization to host an ARISS event in Africa, marking a significant milestone for the continent. Through this event, PACS e-Lab plans to involve students and citizens across Africa by collaborating with its regional partners to broaden access. These regional collaborators will help amplify the reach and impact of the event, engaging schools and communities continent-wide and establishing ARISS as a recurring educational experience across Africa.
