REGISTRATION CERTIFICATE

PACS e-Lab is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing STEM education across Africa through hands-on activities in astronomy and space science, with a special focus on engaging underrepresented communities and inspiring young individuals to pursue careers in STEM. Registered in Nigeria under the Companies and Allied Matters Act of 2020, with company registration number 6997143, PACS e-Lab operates through digital platforms to accomplish its aims and objectives.


We provide opportunities for individuals to participate in data collection and analysis, fostering collaboration among researchers and enthusiasts across Africa and beyond. Our network spans all 54 African countries, working in close partnership with stakeholders in space education and outreach. These include national space agencies, higher education institutions, national astronomy organizations, astronomy clubs, amateur astronomy groups, high schools, teachers, students, and space enthusiasts.


Our mission is to cultivate curiosity and wonder about the universe while inspiring the next generation of African astronomers and scientists.


Aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), our projects aim to empower users with access to cutting-edge resources and tools, contributing to Africa’s social and economic development.

OUR OBJECTIVES

  1. To disseminate hands-on space-related projects that empower the African public to contribute to space research and exploration.
  2. To provide the African public with adequate training and educational resources, enabling meaningful and effective engagement in space and astronomy projects.
  3. To foster collaborations with national space agencies, industry, and academic institutions across Africa to support the adoption of these projects.
  4. To serve as an intermediary, facilitating hands-on space and astronomy collaborations between developed countries and Africa.

The Pan-African Citizen Science e-Lab is powered by a dedicated team of experienced volunteers who promote our projects within their local communities and integrate them into classroom activities.
